Paranoia

I fall to the ground
the mirror shatters
where is my reality
I pace around my cell
where do lies and hate begin
where does the war zone end
I have never felt so much hate
I have never harbored such fear
this isn’t funny anymore
it never was for me
the blood pours from my mouth
I glance a shadow behind me
no one is there
but everyone is there
they are waiting to get me
waiting to hurt when I am weak
kick me when I am down
I staple my tongue
to the roof on my mouth
and pull the zipper
shut across my lips
this is my end
this is my contrition
I ask the same of you
where is my reality
where is my end
what happened to happiness
what happened to us
I want it to be over
make the voices stop
help me or please
let me help myself
who is that behind me
everyone and everything
they are all after me
they will all hurt and betray
I run and hide and fade away
I close my eyes
I just want to wake up
I just want the nightmare to end
where is my reality
where does the realm of paranoia begin
and reality disappear
or are they one?
